I’m able to graduate with my BSN this semester, and I’m grateful for the opportunity this school gave me. Like every school, there were ups and downs throughout the program. There are definitely areas that could be improved, and I believe many of those changes are realistic and doable. Despite the challenges, I gained knowledge, grew professionally, and reached an important milestone in my nursing journey. Overall, I appreciate the experience and am proud to be a graduate.
Amazing school with cutting edge technology that makes learning so interactive and impactful. Best choice for nursing IMO.
From 2023 to 2026, my experience at this institution was marked by a persistent lack of interpersonal communication and institutional competence. This included a fundamental failure to understand and honor contractual agreements, as well as a demonstrable lack of knowledge by the Bursar regarding the proper administration of GI Bill benefits. I also experienced a Title IX violation that resulted in financial liability for a failing grade, despite the circumstances being thoroughly documented in a medically substantiated manner as a direct detriment to my education. Additionally, there were serious civil rights concerns related to student safety, self-defense, and basic human consideration. Nightingale College operates as a for-profit institution yet consistently fails to uphold the ethical standards it claims to teach. While its stated motto is “Flame Forward,” a more accurate representation would be an “Unrising Phoenix,” as the institution demonstrates systemic dysfunction akin to a dumpster fire rather than growth or accountability. Despite charging tuition comparable to elite universities such as Harvard or Princeton, Nightingale College offers neither equivalent prestige nor accountability—particularly when addressing its own documented violations.
0/5 Stars Nightingale College – Serious Communication Failures and Leadership Concerns I am sharing my experience to inform prospective students, especially LVN-to-BSN applicants, about serious communication and advising issues at Nightingale College. While admissions initially felt organized and supportive, the experience quickly deteriorated once fees were paid and enrollment began. Staff were friendly and responsive during the application and payment process, but once I was assigned my first advisor, communication became inconsistent and eventually nearly nonexistent. I received little guidance on academic scheduling, HESI exam timelines, critical deadlines, and transferring prerequisite courses, which is unacceptable for a program serving transfer students. My first advisor explained she was responsible for over 100 students, highlighting a clear institutional issue. Students should not be left without guidance due to overworked staff. After escalating my concerns, Sam W helped me immensely by assigning me to Tyece Benjamin, Admissions Coordinator. She was organized, proactive, and compassionate, demonstrating what effective student support should look like. Unfortunately, I was reassigned again to Dana, an Admissions Processing Advisor. Dana did email me on December 19 regarding steps in the process. Unfortunately, as someone who had been trying to connect with an advisor who could cohesively guide me to the next and final steps, the communication still fell short. Much of our interaction was via text before any phone conversation, which is inadequate for complex academic planning. Because of these communication failures, I was unaware that my Med-Surg exam would expire, as there was no prior communication regarding that information. When I escalated the issue to Carrie, the leadership interaction was deeply concerning. She repeatedly interrupted me, made assumptions without context, and failed to ask clarifying questions. She also suggested I should have known or done things that were never properly explained, despite my repeated efforts to seek guidance. Effective leadership requires active listening, patience, and understanding, particularly in a nursing program. Cutting people off, making assumptions, uncalled for aggression, and dismissing concerns undermines trust, student success, and the integrity of the program. I am a motivated and experienced nurse with honors and professional recommendations, yet no student should have to fight this hard for basic guidance. Nightingale College has potential, but poor communication, lack of advisor continuity, and dismissive leadership responses can significantly impact student success. For these reasons, I am giving 0 out of 5 stars. Future students should proceed with extreme caution, document everything, and advocate for themselves.
