Love this cosmetology program! It's a small program that encourages hands on learning so these young men and women can develop their profession. It's important to remember that these are STUDENTS, being guided by a professional. Whatever service you make an appointment for would cost you 5x plus in a salon, so it's important to offer grace and kindness while there. They have rules they must follow and certain students can only provide certain services. I took my 93 year old mother there and she got her hair done by the sweetest student Sandy. She washed her hair, rolled it and got her under the dryer in no time. When her hair was dry, the rollers came out and the curls looked great! Strangely enough, those curls lasted all week until the next hair appointment! Usually they soften over the week and by the time the next appt comes, the curls are very nearly gone. Sandy is going to make a great stylist when she graduates! You can't beat the prices - definitely schedule and book with Sandy😊
I go to school here and I enjoy it. Our teachers support and guide us to do our best. We do our best to make clients feel comfortable and confident when being here. This school doesn’t allow for clients to bully any of our students or let others talk down on them. Sometimes the chairs on the salon floor are empty because there’s only five students in the whole entire class, also chairs can be empty because it’s the end of the day and nobody else is scheduled. We’re not allowed to allow people to sit in the salon area after they got their hair done we require them to go back to the waiting area if they’re waiting on somebody.
Great small school! The students get lots of 1 on 1 help, teachers are very supportive! Instructors step in if clients become disrespectful, which I think is awesome!
I went to school here, had experiences with clients some rude and LYING about situations. I love how the school don’t put up with disrespect. Other than that, love it.
I seem to always have a bad experience here. I have only gone twice and I didn’t write anything the first time because I wanted to give the school the benefit of the doubt. However, after this second time I am thoroughly annoyed by their professionalism and mannerisms. The first time I went to the school was so I could let my friend do Neapolitan hair on me. My friend did a great job but had to finish it at my house rather than at the school. Where i had an issue with this visit is the head teacher in the salon. She was blatantly rude to me and my friend, especially my friend doing my hair. The teacher waited for my friend to walk off and started saying bad things about her while she was away looking for my hair color. She said it was my friends fault that she didn’t have the Color I needed however, I soon came to realize that it was the teacher that was supposed to have the right color in stock at the salon rather than having to take my friend to go buy hair color from her own pocket for my hair. So of course, I paid her for that. Once we got back from getting my hair color, I got sat down and all the teacher could still manage to do is be completely rude to my friend. It doesn’t matter why she may not have liked my friend but to showcase it in front of the entire Salon is completely unprofessional. The teach also only seemed concerned about my friend rushing me out the door so she could leave. Now onto this second visit. There wasn’t a whole lot here, however, I could tell not much has changed. The teacher was still cold and was not nice is many ways at all. Me and my friend went in for the Valentine’s Day special and the esthetician she had took a little longer to finish her facial so I got done with my facial and hair style long before her. So, I went over to hang out with her while they finish her hair, mind you all the seats around her were completely empty. However she still comes around the corner, knowing we were together, told me to go sit in the lobby. Which I would understand if they needed those seats for anything but they didn’t. However, I did have a child with me and that was apparently the reason she told my friend before she left. However, she didn’t seem to want to talk to me about it. I appreciate all the students and stylist that are doing their best. Thank you.
