I had considered donating to this Indian Mission because I feel all of the Native Americans in our country are in need of support. But after reading the reviews & looking at the pictures they sent me I don't feel that they spend the money wisely & most of the bad reviews are very recent, which make me wonder what has happened. I've not donated to the school but just from my research I don't think I will.
I have called and requested that my deceased father be removed from their mailing list twice. They told me they would do it but it hasn't stopped. This is wasteful and disrespectful and I have no respect for the way they run their organization. This is a poorly managed charity in my opinion.
I have happily donated for several years now, not a fortune but what had and when I can. I have sent 4 emails and called 4 times and left voicemails requesting a 2024 giving statement for my 2024 income tax filing with no response over the 2 weeks. Therefore I must assume they are out of business and no longer needing donations. 🙁 Sad for the people they serve, some of the most needy and desperate people in this nation. I would suggest you donate to the SW Indian Foundation where I’ll be sending my future donations.
I called them twice to stop sending stuff by mail and they assured me it would happen. It didn't. They are persistent mail pests - I get at least one snail mail or email every single week. They are unique in that regard in the Native American charities.
I find it pure luck that I was contacted by this charity. I always wanted to give to a charity that desperately needed help and where the money would be well used. Saint Bonaventure is the best.
