The Arts Academy is an absolutely amazing school! It's a school that allows children to flourish, both academically and socially. My child wasn't happy with her typical public school education an therefore made the switch to the Arts Academy. I have never seen her happier in my entire life. She went from not wanting to ever go to school (at her previous school), to waking up each morning excited for each and every day! This school is filled with caring teachers and students that embrace all elements of the Arts. They truly care about each and every child. It's the best decision I've ever made for my child!
My son found the HS he was looking for. Too bad we found it when he was a senior.
Absolutely love this school! My son was bullied through middle school and the public school refused to help with the bullying or with his special needs (ADHD and ASD). He barely passed 8th grade and probably shouldn’t have. Most days were a battle to even get him to go to school. At Arts Academy he is thriving. He is accepted for who he is, has the support he needs to learn effectively, gets a full academic education as well as getting more in depth learning and experience with the visual arts and music that he loves. The staff and students are amazing and I can’t imagine him anywhere else!
My child started high school at Pinkerton in Derry, NH and was a C, D student hating life. We transferred to Arts Academy of New Hampshire half way through 10th grade and by the end of 10th grade my child was a straight A student moving into honors classes. I have watched my child's self confidence go from nothing to amazing! This was the best move for my child. The staff are so professional, helpful and kind. The other students that I have met have been the most well mannered kind hearted individuals. It warms my heart to see the students always lifting each other up anyway they can. If your child is struggling in another school this school might be the answer...it certainly was for us!
Such a supportive, enriching environment for students. Great teachers, good community and amazing arts experiences. It is the perfect school for my teen.
