My wife had a wonderful experience flying with Soaring NV last Saturday. The office manager, Stacy, was incredibly helpful during scheduling and check-in, and our pilot, Elizabeth, was fantastic—the flight was perfectly on time and the views were absolutely stunning. My wife's experience was five stars. However, my experience only one. It was not so wonderful. I encountered a significant issue. The canopy lacked a seal on the left hinge side near the back where I was sitting. Throughout the entire flight, air hissed directly into my left ear, which was quite loud and uncomfortable. While I noticed weather stripping on the left hinge side up front in the pilot’s section, it was completely missing from mine. This left my ear ringing with a stuffed feeling after the flight. I shared this concern with the team upon landing. I was disappointed by the response. There was no apology. Rather than ensuring they would look into the seal, my feedback was seemed largely dismissed. One person suggested earplugs next time. Another gentleman in the hangar even seemed confused why I was mentioning it. I hope they address the seal for future passengers, as it would have made the perfect flight my wife experienced just as perfect for me.
Awesome people
Dana my pilot was Awesome! Gabriel gave us a smooth tow up! Breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe as well as Heavenly Valley ski resort and the whole Carson valley with surrounding mountain ranges. She even let me fly the glider for a while. So very worth it!
Reserved two flights by phone weeks early and was ghosted on tour day with no notice! Door shut tight, nobody picked up calls. Airport employee next door said they don’t seem to be around entire day. Both the tow plane and glider were quietly tied down on ramp behind fence. At least I got my money back.
Great experience! Amazing views. Went tandem with my 11 year old, he was blown away! :) Thanks to all the crew! Very well run operation. Our pilot, Gabriel, was a legend. He gave us a memorable ride! Merci Gabriel, Tabarnak! 😄✈️🏔️
