Absolute joke of a place. I am one of the many that got scammed through these people. My instructor was a fraud and had his license taken away. Not only did they take my money. Not give me a refund but my CCW got revoked due to having a fraudulent instructor. So now I have to waste my time and money again to go through a course and sit in a police station to have all the work done again. Beyond frustrated in the situation and I couldn’t have asked for a worst “company” to work with. Im pretty positive this “4.9” star rating is made up of rate reviews.
I'm from out of town and I took the CCW course it looked like a seedy place that was once a great school...but now looked almost abandoned. The instructor was a bit unprofessional, but some folks are like that, so I just let it go. He gave instructions on how to file for the license both in Vegas and my home state. He however did not tell me that the CCW certificate would be taken from me by the PD in Vegas and I would be left without a training certificate for my home state. I emailed the instructor Nephi Oliva (I'm not 100% it was the same person, but I assume it is) and explained, and he asked me to venmo him $40 for a reprint. He never sent me the certificate. We went back and forth FOR A YEAR. After a year of asking, I assumed that he would never send it, so I asked for a refund...now he doesn't even respond to my emails. This may have been a legit school a long time ago (hence the older high ratings), but now its a seedy place that will scam you for $40. I'm very disappointed.
If you took a CCW course with this instructor between September 2023 and March 2024, congrats, your CCW certificate is invalid. The instructor is not a certified instructor; It becomes painfully obvious when the person who "signed" your CCW certificate didn't even show up to the class. Also if you're looking for a refund, they're holding it hostage. Their demands? Attend their soapbox event and fill out one of their "claim forms" to be refunded. And then maybe they'll refund you: "You must attend the event [...] to qualify. Payouts will occur upon settlement". Meaning that when and IF they settle in court, only then will you get a refund. Which may happen this week, this year, or never. Don't bother attempting to call them - They won't answer or return your call. I would recommend going through your bank and attempting to claw your money back. As for your wasted time? Well, I have no idea how VegasCCW will make up for that.
Took a CCW course from Vegas CCW and later found out the instructor was not a certified CCW instructor. Now I'm being required to take another renewal CCW course. What a fraud.
