There are a few decisions you make as a parent that quietly change everything.Choosing StoryHeights Montessori School was one of those for our family. We’ve been a StoryHeights family since 2023, with a now three year old and one year old, and we’ve experienced it all. Two days. Three days. Full-time care. Every version has met us exactly where we were. I never thought we’d be a daycare family. I was raised by a stay-at-home mom and always assumed I’d do the same. But I love what I do for work, and I wanted to find a way to honor both parts of myself. Enrolling my girls here allowed me to fill my career cup while knowing that when I wasn’t with them, they were safe, supported, learning, and genuinely happy. When my oldest started, she was working with a speech pathologist and had some delays. The school welcomed her therapist in to continue sessions onsite, and between the incredible staff and the daily interaction with her peers, her language absolutely exploded. She no longer qualified for early intervention. Watching that growth was one of the most emotional and validating experiences as a parent. She also has multiple allergies, and I cannot overstate how seriously the school takes them. They cross-check everything. They communicate directly with parents. They proactively ensure safe options for classroom snacks and meals. Navigating the world with an allergy kid can sometimes make you feel like a burden, even when you know you aren’t. StoryHeights has never once made my daughter or me feel like an inconvenience. The peace of mind that comes from not being anxious about her safety is life changing. Our oldest has moved through the infant, toddler, and primary rooms, and she has fallen in love with the kind, patient, big-hearted teachers along the way. When we welcomed our second daughter, sending her to the infant room felt like a no-brainer. I already knew she would be cared for deeply, and for an anxious mom, that trust is everything. From the curriculum, to the friendships my girls have formed, to the relationships I’ve built with other parents, this school (and the teachers!) has genuinely enhanced our lives. We love Storyheights Montessori, and our 18 month old, while new this fall, is very, very happy here. He talks about his teacher, Nadee, constantly. She, along with all of the teachers, are rays of light. Nadee, Katelyn, and Annabelle have been so consistent in helping us transition into school and to ensure my son has safe, engaging days at school. I love his classroom layout, I love seeing him happy at drop off and pick up, and appreciate his teachers and the dedicated staff there everyday. They are in daily and weekly communication about my son’s activities and the learning themes of the week. Beyond grateful for this school.

We unfortunately had a pretty bad experience with this school. In general we found the staff to be very cold, our daughter absolutely dreaded going to this school, horrible communication from staff about “concerns” with our child. Fortunately after two years, we pulled our daughter from this school and she is now THRIVING in a new educational environment.
