Affordable no-frills stay about 300m away from Hazarduari entrance, with secured car parking. Stayed at the suite, on the 1st floor. No elevator available. Super spacious clean rooms with reasonably clean bathroom.
Lalbagh Youth Hostel in Murshidabad has an awesome location—just behind the historic Imambara, making it super convenient for exploring the area's landmarks on foot. The rooms are a standout: super big and spacious, perfect for budget travelers who want room to stretch out without feeling cramped.That said, the place shows some signs of non-maintenance, like peeling paint and worn fixtures in spots—it's clearly a no-frills hostel, not a polished hotel. There's no fooding option onsite, so plan to eat out or bring your own snacks. Boarders should keep in mind it's a hostel, not a hotel, so don't expect daily housekeeping or room service.Overall, at this unbeatable price, it's hands-down the best budget stay in Murshidabad. I'd recommend it for backpackers or short stays who prioritize location and space over luxury.
The rooms were so-so but can’t complain much as it is a Govt. hostel and not a private hotel. More or less clean premises. Only problem that I faced: The daytime caretaker was extremely rude. He behaved like it was his property and we were his servants. Had no manners. Didn’t bother to give an answer even if we asked.
