I did my English Honours tuition here for all three years of graduation, and the experience has been truly enriching. Every class was something I genuinely looked forward to because of the way Sir made literature come alive, his explanations were always clear, engaging, and full of depth. The notes provided throughout the three years were of excellent quality, concise yet comprehensive, and immensely helpful during exams and revisions. Sir’s teaching style is analytical and thorough, making even the most complex texts easy to understand. He encourages students to think critically and connect ideas across authors, periods, and theories. The class location beside Rabindra Sadan Metro / Exide Crossing is extremely convenient and easily accessible, which made attending regular physical classes comfortable. My exam marks during graduation improved significantly because of the clarity and confidence I gained here. Sir’s effort for new texts, especially where there were no previous years’ questions available, was commendable, he prepared everything from scratch and made sure we were fully equipped to answer any question. Apart from teaching, Sir has also given valuable guidance for my future studies, which really helped me during my postgraduate admission process. I am now a Master’s student at Calcutta University (main campus), and I can confidently say that the foundation I built in these classes has been crucial in shaping my understanding of literature. The audio-visuals, presentations, and digital materials used in class made learning much more interactive and comprehensive. Sir also provided continuous help with assignments and college projects, along with constant support and cooperation whenever I needed guidance. Overall, these classes offer an excellent balance of clarity, depth, and personal attention. I would highly recommend them to any student pursuing English Honours. I have truly enjoyed attending Prof. Suman Chakraborty’s English Honours classes. What I appreciated most was the way in which he brought even the trickiest lines of poetry or prose to life. His explanations were always engaging and made complex material feel simple and approachable. Sir provided us with well-organized notes on every topic, and those became our go-to study material. Revisiting those notes again and again really helped me build confidence and clarity. The tuition sessions are held at Rotary Sadan near Exide, located in the heart of the city and I genuinely looked forward to being there. The classrooms are spacious, clean and air-conditioned, creating a comfortable environment to study in. Sir’s teaching style balances seriousness with warmth. He is professional yet often cracks jokes, which eases the atmosphere and makes learning more enjoyable. With his guidance, I noticed a real improvement in my exam performance. The teaching style, the notes and the whole setting contributed to a boost in my marks, and more than that, helped me build a genuine sense of understanding and interest. Even when working with texts that felt unfamiliar or complex, Sir’s explanations and support made me feel prepared rather than left hanging. What I found especially helpful was the guidance he offered beyond the syllabus. He often gave us direction for higher studies and future prospects, which I found valuable. I am glad to share that I have secured admission to St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata for my Master’s and I owe much of that success to the strong foundation I built here. What I really enjoyed about coming to Suman Sir's classes was that the lectures are always well-organised with a clear schedule, explained in a lucid language, and taught in an engaging and interesting manner. The notes provided are compact, of very high quality, and extremely helpful for scoring well in exams. With proper study, one can easily achieve above-average marks—I myself managed to secure a 6.6+ CGPA in the Calcutta University curriculum. The teaching style is not only thorough but also fun and interactive. Sir makes sure we understand every important aspect of the texts. Even for the new syllabus texts where no previous years’ questions were available, he gave his best effort to prepare us adequately. The physical location of the class is also very convenient—just a 3–4 minutes’ walk from Rabindra Sadan Metro station, near Exide Crossing, making it very easy to attend without any hassle. What makes the learning experience even richer is the use of audio-visual materials, presentations, and other digital resources that make the classes fascinating and complete—something rarely found in other tuitions. He also provides guidance for future studies, especially for those aiming for government jobs or higher studies. Personally, with his support and guidance, I have successfully cleared the CUET-PG exam and got admission into JNU for MA in English, which is a matter of pride for me as his student. Sir has also been extremely supportive in college assignments and projects by sharing notes, references, and relevant articles. I had the time of my life both academically and personally while studying in Professor Suman Chakraborty's tuition UG , English Literature. My love for literature has elevated in these 3 years and all thanks to him . Decoding complex literary texts to dramatic readings of Shakespearean texts Sir is an adept . You can blindly rely on his impeccable notes . He is fun loving , easy going but at the same time a very responsible and sincere Professor. His classes especially the session on Macbeth will be etched in my heart forever. Trust me on this you will be on the right hands if you study here. The location is very accessible , classes are held beside Rabindra Sadan metro station . I got into St Xavier's (Autonomous) College , Kolkata for Masters in English Literature and none of it would have been possible without sir. Thank you sir for everything . Forever indebted.

Joining Suman Sir's classes have been one of the best decisions I've made for my studies. The atmosphere here is super comfortable and I genuinely enjoy coming to class ! The way English is taught here is different — it’s not just about memorizing notes. There’s focus on understanding the deeper meanings of the texts, writing answers with confidence. Even for new texts where there were no previous year questions, sir prepared us so well. I never felt lost or unprepared. The notes are really helpful — crisp, well-organised, and to the point. They helped me a lot during revision time. Plus, we got audio-visual aids and presentations that made even the most difficult texts feel easier and more engaging.
